The Delta State Ministry of Health, the Office of the SSA to the Governor on Health Monitoring, the Hospitals Management Board and the Zonal Medical Directors met on Monday in Asaba to brainstorm on how to strengthen secondary healthcare facilities in the state for a more effective healthcare delivery system.
The meeting, which took place in the Office of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, was attended the SSAs to Delta State Governor on Health Monitoring, Dr. Michael Nwoko and Dr. Patrick Onwuachi, the Permanent Secretary, State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. William Pemu, the Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Health, Dr. Mimmi Oseji and the Zonal Medical Directors.
Progressive discussions and an action plan was made on strategies to strengthen the system, in line with the Stronger Delta vision of the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
