The Senior Political Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, has pledged more active involvement of his office in the activities of the Delta State Community Youth Association.
He made the pledge on Monday when he visited the secretariat of the association on Anwai road Asaba with some political aides to the Governor.
Honourable Solomon, who was conducted round the complex by the Director General of the Community Youth Association, Innocent Esewezie, said the Okowa administration placed high premium on youth development and would always follow up on their activities through the association.
The Senior POLAD urged the association to galvanize youths in the state towards keying into the Stronger Delta vision of the state government,
He said youths would be better for a Stronger Delta that would guarantee equity, justice and fairness, which would engender peace and unity needed for youths to realize their potentials.
While urging youths in the state to shun social vices and focus on building their capacity, Honourable Solomon promised to attend the association’s meetings to be able to interact with the youths.
The DG of the Delta State Community Youth Association, Honourable Innocent Esewezie, had briefed the Senior POLAD on the activities of the group and pledged partnership with the Office of the Senior Political Adviser.
The Delta State Community Youth Association is one of the bodies being coordinated by the Office of the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor.
