Saturday, October 12, 2019 will remain a special day for a long time to come for widows in Issele – Uku and the environs.
On that day of the Lord, the Founder, Divine Faith Evangelical Mission, Agbor, in Ika south local government area, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, visited the widows with various items, including bags of rice, cartons of different brands of Noddles, cartons of biscuits, fruit drinks, bags of clothes, toiletries and bags of detergents.
He described widows as special to God and charged them to remain prayerful and always proclaim goodness and mercy for their children.
The Edo born charismatic preacher said the items had no political attachment, as they were donated to his Job’s Orphanage by individuals and organisations who were led by the spirit, adding that he did not know the donors.
He called on anyone who would want to identify with his ministry to come to 101, Upper Imudia street, Agbor or call Phone number 08037452147 for direction.
Prophet Igbodo advised the widows to distance themselves from fake pastors who would want to take advantage of their vulnerability, emphasising that they should have nothing to do with witchcraft, idol worship or fetish things if they must continue to enjoy God’s favour and protection.
He reminded them that even in their widowhood they should be good to people, especially their neighbours, reach out to the less privileged and surrender their lives to God.
The cleric thanked God for His grace upon his life, family and ministry, and promised to continue to impact on the lives of orphans and widows in the society.
The leader of Ukpai quarters, Issele – Uku, where the outreach took place, Chief Ikechukwu Onwenna, thanked Prophet Igbodo for using his ministry to touch lives and prayed God to continue to use him to do great things.
The event, which was attended by over 250 widows, featured prayers and anointing of the land.
