The Delta state candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 Governorship election, Chief Great Ogboru, has been advised to joint hands with Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s led PDP administration in its efforts at building a Stronger Delta.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment and Marine Transportation, Honourable Daniel Yingi, gave the advice in a congratulatory message to Governor Okowa, his Deputy, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro and all PDP faithful in the state on the victory of the Party at the Delta State Election Petitions Tribunal in Asaba.
Honourable Yingi, while felicitating with the Governor on the victory, strongly spoke against actions capable of causing further distractions to the good governance of Delta State, stressing that the continued legal battle was counterproductive.
The former Lawmaker urged Chief Great Ogboru to be patient as he had tried enough as a person, but could not change the plan and direction of God at this point in time in the life of the state.
Honourable Yingi stressed that what was expected of the APC guber candidate was to join forces with Governor Okowa in his efforts to advance the destiny of Delta State to the envy of other states.
He said Senator Okowa had been divinely ordained to govern the state till 2023, noting that no human could turn the will of God.
The Special Adviser prayed God to grant the Governor and his team the wherewithal to build institutions that would promote peace, progress and development in the state.
