The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Health Monitoring, Dr. Michael Nwoko, has congratulated the Governor on his victory at the State Election Petitions Tribunal.
In a message shortly after the judgment in Asaba, the SSA described the verdict as victory for democracy, good conscience and the rule of law, adding that it reaffirmed the overwhelming victory of the Governor in the March 9, 2019 Governorship election.
Dr Nwoko called on the petitioner to accept the verdict of the people and the tribunal, and join hands with the Governor in the actualization of the Stronger DELTA Agenda.
The SSA commended the three man panel of Justices and indeed the judiciary for upholding the mandate freely given to Okowa by dismissing Chief Ogboru’s petition for lack of merit.
He urged Deltans to see the judgement as a renewed impetus to support the Okowa administration to take the state to the desired level of development. K
