Former board member of the Delta State Post Primary Education Board, Dr Henry Ofa, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the PDP family on Friday’s tribunal victory.
Dr Ofa, in a message, said the verdict was a confirmation that the resounding victory of the Governor at the polls was unquestionable, describing an attempt to challenge the outcome of the election as a mission impossible.
He said the time had come for the governorship candidate of the APC, Chief Great Ogboru, to put an end to the series of litigations with which he had come to be identified and join the Governor in moving the state forward.
The PDP chieftain noted that Ogboru was acting as if he was not a Deltan, stressing that he should respect the collective will of the people and put away political differences in the overall interest of the state.
Dr Ofa commended Governor Okowa for extending hands of partnership to Great Ogboru and the opposition and advised Ogboru to come on board and contribute to building the envisaged Stronger Delta state.
He thanked the judiciary for affirming the Governor’s electoral victory by dismissing Ogboru’s petition and that of his party, the APC.
