Nigeria’s Dream Team, U-23 Eagles on Tuesday defeated their Sudanese counterparts 5 goals to nil in an AFCON U-23 qualifying game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
By this victory, Nigeria has qualified for Egypt 2019 African Cup of Nations.
The two finalists in Egypt will represent Africa at 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The match was watched by top government functionaries, including the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, who represented Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
The state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, some members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners and the chairman, Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Chief Ighoyota Amori, also watched the match.
