IZON COMMUNITY ASABA HONOURS FIVE OF THEIR RETIREES FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE TO DELTA STATE

The Ijaw Community in Asaba has honoured five of their own who recently retired from the Delta State Civil Service.

They are Dr H. B Tumbo, Engr  Joseph Ebolo, Christmas Ezonabode, Dame Pauline Timiyo and Barrister T. C. Ayizimo.

Speaking on the occasion, the Publicity Secretary-elect of foremost body of the Ijaw nation, the Ijaw National Congress, INC, Engineer Oyakemeagbegha Ezonebi, described the retirees as men and women of impeccable character.

He said the retirees were worth celebrating because they had served the state meritoriously, leaving enduring legacies for the younger generation where they served.

Engineer Ezonebi noted that the retirees were still energetic and full of ideas and urged them to continue to contribute to the growth and development of the Ijaw nation in their further endeavours.

The INC Publicity Secretary-elect advised members of the Ijaw community in Asaba to remain united, while thanking them for celebrating the retirees whom he said had done the community and Ijaw nation proud in their chosen careers.

In the same vein the Chairman of the Izon Community Asaba, Tare Ogbo, congratulated the retirees for putting in their mandatory years in the Delta State Civil Service without blemishes and wished them well in their further endeavours.
