Delta State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Honourable Chika Ossai, has called on staff of the ministry to be dedicated to their duties in order to generate more revenue for the state.
The Commissioner made the call during his familiarisation visit to the Ministry’s outstation offices in Kwale, Ndokwa West local government area and, Ogwashi-uku, Aniocha South local government area of the state.
He commended the staff for their resilience, commitment and dedication to duty in spite of some daunting challenges, and urged them to redouble their efforts towards Internally Generated Revenue drive if some of their challenges must be addressed.
While frowning at the attitude of some members of staff to work, the Commissioner enjoined them to continue to uphold the rules of the state civil service by coming to work regularly and punctually as well as discharging their duties diligently.
The Commissioner used the opportunity to call the out station staff to be alive to their duties and think outside the box on ways to improve on the ministry.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Ebipade Aloba, told the staff that the Ministry was working on plans to enhance their welfare.
