The Delta State Government has assured persons doing business in the state that they will continue to enjoy a conducive environment that will grow their businesses.

The Senior Political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, gave the assurance when members of the Artisans Association, Delta state, paid him a courtesy visit.

Honourable Solomon noted that  government needed the artisans to grow the state’s economy, adding that their safety in pursuing their trades was of utmost concern to the state government.

The Senior Political Adviser reminded the artisans of the existence of a law on the Ease of Doing Business, which had proscribed all forms of extortion from people in business, and urged them to focus on their business.

Honourable Solomon thanked the group for its contribution to the victory of Governor Okowa and other PDP candidates for the 2019 elections, promising that government would do more in making them have value for their ventures.

The leader of the group,  Comrade Ifeanyi Abanum, commended the state government for its friendly policies which had made their trades successful and promised to continue to contribute to the development of the State through their endeavours.

Comrade Abanum said artisans in the state mobilized fully for the 2019 elections and supported Governor Okowa because they believed in him and the ruling People’s Democratic Party in the state.

He urged the state government to extend the dividends of democracy to the group.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an artistic portrait of the Senior Political Adviser to him by the leader of the group.
