All Support Groups in Delta state that worked for the success of the People’s Democratic Party in the last general election have been assured that their efforts will not be in vain.
The Senior Political Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, gave the assurance in Asaba while addressing members of the E. K. Clark Solidarity Group for Okowa 2019 who paid him a courtesy visit.
Honourable Solomon acknowledged that many of the groups came all out during the electioneering campaigns to the 25 local government areas and followed up with genuine commitment to the victory of the party, particularly the reelection of the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
He told the E. K. Clark Solidarity Group that a comprehensive list of all genuine support groups for the last election in Delta state had been compiled, which included the group, and thanked it for making sacrifices that added value to the resounding victory of the Governor at the polls.
The Senior Political Adviser urged the solidarity group to uphold the impeccable character and integrity of its principal and foremost Ijaw leader, Chief E. K. Clark, whom he described as a father, a highly respected Nigerian and a great Ambassador of Delta state.
Honourable Solomon appealed to members of the group to be patient as the process of rewarding hardwork was still on and would visit someone or some persons in the group at the appropriate time.
The leader of the group and one time Secretary to the Delta State Government and Head of Service, Sir Simeon Efenudu, felicitated with Honourable Solomon on his well deserved appointmen, describing it as a reward for hardwork as Director General of the state 2019 PDP Campaign Organisation.
Sir Efenudu, who spoke through the Public Relations Officer of the group, Mr Akpo Abugo, dwelt on the role played by the group in the electoral process that led to the reelection of Governor Okowa and the emergence of other PDP candidates and begged to be remembered in the scheme of things.
