AMORI AT 67: Okowa Pays Tribute

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated a political titan and statesman, Chief Ighoyota Amori, on his 67th birth anniversary.

Okowa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifejika, extolled Chief Amori for his outstanding contributions to the growth and unity of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and development of Delta state.

The Governor lauded Chief Amori, who is the Chairman, Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, for his role as party stalwart, describing him as a partyman of inestimable value.

Okowa also commended Amori for his untiring efforts at bridge-building, saying he is a political tactician and a leader with great passion for the development of the Urhobo nation. 

He recalled Amori’s contributions as Commissioner for Education, Water Resources, Senior Political Adviser and later Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District before his tenure was aborted by the Appeal Court.

The Governor noted that as a party leader and stalwart, Amori had remained a respectable voice and bridge-builder to be appreciated for his consistency and loyalty to the PDP.

Okowa prayed God to continue to protect the saxogenerian and grant him good health to render more services to mankind.
