The inauguration of the Boards of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency and the Warri, Uvwie and Environs Development Agency by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been described as a good omen for the development of the state and a template for the attainment of a stronger Delta state.
Oghara born politician, Dr Henry Ofa, stated this in Asaba while speaking on the significance of the two Development Agencies to the state.
Dr Ofa, who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, said the agencies would fasttrack the development of the state from different perspectives, and make the state the envy of all.
He noted that the idea of the two Development Agencies was a good one and the first of its kind in the country, stressing that the state would be better for it.
The party stalwart advised the two Boards to develop workable blueprints that would propel the achievement of set goals.
Dr Ofa described the Chairman of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Chief Ighoyota Amori, as a simple, accessible and focused leader whose tenure would make a difference in the agency.
He congratulated Chief Amori, the Director General of the agency, Honourable Onyemaechi Mrakpor and members of the Board on their appointment and advised them to work as a team.
