The Permanent Secretary, Goverment House and Protocol, Delta state, Mr. Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje has charged youths to harness their entrepreneurial an vocational skills to create employment in the country.

Mr. Ogidi-Gbegbaje gave the charge in Asaba during the send-off ceremony of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch B Stream II members who served in the Directorate.

He explained that self-employment was the best way to tackle the challenge of unemployment in the country, adding that youths should acquire vocational and entrepreneurial training rather than wait for non existent white collar jobs.

The PS said governments all over the world, including Nigeria were looking for ways to cut cost, stressing that unemployment was not good for any economy.

Ogidi-Gbegbaje stated that as youths with endless possibilities, the out going corps members could contribute their quota to nation building by creating jobs with the skills acquired in camp

He commended the corps members who served in the state, particularly in the Directorate for exhibiting exemplary character and making their families and states proud.

Responding on behalf of the out going corps members, Mr. Omoniyi Abodunrin thanked the management and staff of the Directorate for creating a conducive work environment and promised to be good ambassadors of the state.
