The Secretary to Delta State Government, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, has inaugurated an Administrative Panel of Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the collapse of buildings in Asaba, Abraka and Warri.
The five-man panel has Engineer Joshua Egube as Chairman, Mr. Anthony Abuah, Engineer Rex Orhe, and Mrs Iduseri Orerhime, members while Mr. Igho Eduvie will serve as Secretary.
Mr. Ebie listed the terms of reference to include, to determine the immidiate and remote causes of the three incidents, identify the persons involved, suggest adequate punishment for those identified and recommend adequate measures that will forestall future occurance of such incidents.
He said the panel has two weeks within which to complete the assignment and submit its report.
Speaking on behalf of the members, the Chairman of the panel, Engineer Egube, noted that the incidence of collaped building in the state had become worrisome.
He said the panel would visit the three scenes where the incidents occurred to verify the causes and make recommendations.
Engineer Egube thanked the state government for finding them worthy to serve the state and assured that they would do their best.
