Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been commended for the appointment of tested and trusted politicians and professionals as his Special Advisers.
The commendation came from a PDP chieftain in the state, Dr Henry Ofa, shortly after the swearimg-in of eight Special Advisers by the Governor.
Dr Ofa noted that each of the new Advisers had a track record of achievement in the positions held in the past in both private and public life, adding that they still looked set to contribute to the socio-economic development of the state through useful advice on issues affecting the people.
He reminded the Special Advisers of the high regards of the Governor on them and urged them to put in their best to justify their being picked from among many other qualified persons for their positions.
The Oghara-born politician observed that Governor Okowa was carefully assembling his team of experienced personalities, including politicians and professionals, that would add value to the quest for a stronger Delta state and called on Deltans to be patient as events unfold.
Dr Ofa congratulated the Special Advisers on their well deserved appointment.
