A Professor of Mathematical Physics at the Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, Dr. Raphael Asibor, has said a Swedish company, MSAB, founded in 1984 with headquarters in Stockholm, is collaborating with Certified Systems Limited to become an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solution provider with applications in Mobile Forensic services.
Dr. Asibor made the assertion in a telephone conversation with our reporter on the role of ICT in providing solutions to challenges of effective and efficient Mobile Forensic services in the country and beyond.
The University don, who is the Director of ICT, Igbinedion University Okada, stated that the institution had virtually all the ICT academic programmes running, as the institution was a 21st century digital campus.
He said the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Lawrence Ezemonye, who is also a visiting Professor to Lancaster University in the United Kingdom and a Pioneer Federal Director, National Center for Energy and Environment, has transformed the institution to a centre of academic excellence through teaching, research, and knowledge production in response to conceptualized national and global needs and in line with the mission of the University.
Dr. Asibor stated that in line with the nation’s quest for the growth of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Igbinedion University Okada had kick-starked Huawei Academy, Cisco Academy, Microtik Academy and Intel Academy, adding that one of their critical stakeholders and development partner, Certified Systems Limited had concluded arrangements to start the Microsoft Academy by September 2019 with all the devices deployed.
He said Igbinedion University Okada was currently running a course in Security and Contemporary Studies which was recently commissioned by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai on April 15th, 2019.
Dr. Asibor, who is a strong advocate of Smart Farming techniques, stated that other critical stakeholders, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Supreme Court, Nigerian Customs, EFCC, ICPC, the Nigeria Police Force, Navy, Air Force, Kogi State Government, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and other Stakeholders were in support of the new development.
He appealed to the federal and state governments as well as other stakeholders to join the initiative of Internet Agriculture, so as to achieve all year round farming.
