Following a planned peaceful protest by residents of Asaba and neighbouring communities being spare headed by the Young Nigerians Rights Organization over epileptic power supply and other sharp practices by the BEDC, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Adeyinka Adele, has scheduled a meeting with both parties in his office in Asaba.
The meeting will hold on Monday ( tomorrow ) at the Police Headquarters on Okpanam Road at 12noon.
The CP has asked that journalists be present at the meeting to ensure transparent, fair and credible deliberations.
The Young Nigerians Rights Organization says it is committed to fighting injustice and oppression of any kind and the untold hardship brought upon the people by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company BEDC is not an exception.
