The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okafor has called on legislative institutions to improve the living standards of the masses through quality legislations.
Speaking on the sideline of the 2019 International Day of Parliament, which was observed yesterday, Mr. Okafor described the Parliament as the oil that lubricates both the Judicial and Executive Arms of government for good governance.
The Speaker who commended Governor Willie Obiano for continuously assenting to quality laws made by the State legislature, noted that the cordial relationship existing between the legislature and the executive arm of government is for the collective good of Ndi Anambra.
He urged Nigerian lawmakers to use the platform of the legislature to contribute to the peace and progress of the Nigerian-Nation.
Mr. Okafor enjoined the masses to give necessary support and respect to the Parliament to enable lawmakers function optimally.
