The National Working Committee of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU, has approved the setting of a caretaker committee to run the affairs of the Delta State Council of the union.
According to a statement by the General Secretary of RATTAWU, Comrade A. Akpausoh, the caretaker committee will run the union for a period not exceeding three months pending the determination of an alleged case of misappropriation of funds against the Onoriode led State Administration Council of the union and the election of a new executive for the State Council.
The statement says Comrade Linus Iwegbunem will chair the five-man caretaker committee, with Comrade Marian Ugeh as Secretary.
Other members are Comrade Julie Ogunje, Comrade Monday Oyarero and Comrade Ezon Ebi Odumosu.
The committee will be inaugurated on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the RATTAWU Secretariat, Labour House Asaba at ten in the morning.
All chapter executive members of RATTAWU in the state have been advised to attend the inauguration ceremony without fail.
