The Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Government House and Protocol, Mr Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje, has charged youths in the country to shun vices and be security conscious in all their dealings.
Mr. Ogidi-Gbegbaje, who gave the charge on Friday in Asaba at a send off ceremony for 2018 Batch B, Stream 1 corps members who served in the Directorate, decried the security challenges facing the country, especially kidnapping, ritual killing and internet fraud and urged the youths to maintain the straight and positive way to success.
He congratulated the ex-corps members on the successful completion of their service year, advising them to be mindful of the friends they keep, the people they chat with on the social media and to shun internet fraud and crime.
The PS cautioned against the get-rich- quick syndrome, adding that they could attain any height if they chose the right and positive way and with God on their side.
Ogidi-Gbegbaje said as youths the ex-corps members had a responsibility to be good citizens of Nigeria.
Responding on behalf of the ex-corpers, Ayodele Oluwarotimi, thanked the management of the Directorate of Government House and Protocol for giving them the opportunity to serve, pledging that they would be good ambassadors of the Directorate and Delta state.
