The Delta State Traditional Rulers Council has appealed to President Generals of communities not to run parallel administration as that will be inimical to the peace, progress and development of their communities and the state.

The Chairman of the Council and Obi of Owa, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor the second, made the appeal while briefing newsmen at the end of its monthly meeting which held at the Unity Hall,Government House, Asaba.

He said the functions of President Generals of communities were well defined as their roles should not over ride the functions of traditional rulers in their domains.

The Obi of Owa noted that though the traditional institution was appreciative of the supportive administrative efforts of President Generals of communities in sustaining peace in their various communities, they should subject themselves to the authority of the royal fathers.

The Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers Council said royal fathers would not hesitate to report any breach of peace in any community in Delta state to security agencies for necessary action.

Obi Efeizomor the second restated the commitment of the Council to supporting the Okowa administration because it had performed beyond expectations despite the state of the nation when he came on board in 2015.

While highlighting the achievements of the Okowa administration in terms of practical development across the state, the Obi of Owa said the Asaba airport was back on stream with various flight landing and taking off on a daily basis.

He called on Deltans to be vigilant following the security challenges facing the nation.
