The Chief Medical Director of the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, Oghara, Dr, Onome Ogueh, has made a case for more presence of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, in the tertiary health institution.
Dr Ogueh made the request while taking delivery of hospital consumables donated to the hospital by the NDDC.
The CMD thanked the commission for identifying with DELSUTH, describing the hospital as the largest institution in Delta state with the capacity to make a difference in the lives of the people of Niger Delta as it concerned health care delivery.
Dr Ogueh solicited NDDC support in the construction of a medical school building and physical structures for the basic post-graduate school of nursing.

The leader of the NDDC team, Engineer Greg Ighere, said the commission recognized DELSUTH as an important tertiary health institution that needed assistance to be able to effectively provide world class health care services to the people.
Engineer Ighere, who is in charge of project monitoring and inspection in the NDDC, assured DELSUTH of more and urged the hospital to put the consumables to good use.
