Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, as he turns 57 tomorrow, June 25, 2019.
Governor Okowa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, said Gbajabiamila’s contribution to the development of the country and the legislature was worthy of commendation.
The Governor hailed Gbajabiamila’s outstanding accomplishments in his service to the country over the years which culminated in his emergence as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He described Gbajabiamila as a quintessential politician and legislator per excellence who has added value to the lives of his people and Nigerians as a whole.
Okowa said: “As Speaker of the 9th Assembly, you have an enormous task of uniting the nation and bringing good governance closer to the people by galvanising the lawmakers to legislate on areas that will make life more meaningful to all Nigerians, adding that there is much work to be done by way of legislation in the area of power supply, infrastructure and poverty alleviation.”
The Governor prayed God to grant Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, long life, good health, more wisdom and power to lead the 9th House of Representatives.
