Senior Political Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, has commended the State House of Assembly for the screening and confirmation of the eight nominees whose names were sent to it by Governor Okowa for appointment as Commissioners.
Honourable Funkekeme, who was speaking in Asaba, noted that the seamless screening and confirmation exercise was suggestive of a progressive partnership between the Executive and Legislative arms of government in the state.
He said the Governor made the right choices in the exercise of his constitutional powers, which the Assembly consumated with the screening and confirmation of the nominees.
The Senior Political Adviser sued for a stronger synergy between the three arms of government to guarantee peace, unity and sustainable development in the state.
Honourable Funkekeme advised the Commissioners designate to be prepared to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor wherever they would be assigned to, adding that they must work to achieve set goals of government aimed at making life more meaningful to the people.
