M.A.N TRUCK, MERCEDES BENZ 4MATIC ‘TEST STRENGTH’ AT ROAD SAFETY JUNCTION

It was a narrow escape from death or injury for occupants of a metalic coloured Mercedes Benz 4MATIC ML350 jeep today at the Road Safety junction on the Benin-Asaba Expressway.

The Benz, marked KJA 485 DQ, had its front passenger side crushed by a blue coloured M.A.N truck with registration number LSD 106 XP.

Both vehicles were coming from the Benin end of the road and were negotiating a bend at the junction when the accident occured. Although no life was lost, the impact on the 4MATIC was much.

FRSC had always advised motorists to maintain a queue at the U-Turn, but many prefer forming two or more queues at busy junction in an attempt to turn first and beat others to it.

Just a little caution would have saved the situation.
