The Senior Political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, has described the successful inauguration of the 7th Assembly of the Delta State House of Assembly as an indication that the attainment of a stronger Delta is achievable through productive collaboration among the three arms of government.
Honourable Funkekeme, a former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, in a congratulatory message to the Speaker, Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, Deputy Speaker, Honourable Ochor Christopher Ochor and members of the Assembly, said with the seamless inauguration the stage was set for the House to make laws that would promote peace, order and good governance necessary for the attainment of a stronger Delta.
The Senior Political Adviser expressed the hope that the Speaker and his Deputy would maintain the vibrancy for which the Delta State House of Assembly was known in the anals of legislative business in the country.
Honourable Funkekeme advised the legislators to work as a team and put the interest of the state and their constituents above other considerations so as to give the people effective representation and improve their living conditions.
He said as a former Deputy Speaker and member of the State Assembly and now Senior Political Adviser to the Governor he would continue to identify with the House and to offer useful advice where necessary to guarantee a stable and progressive Assembly.
