Ichida Progress Union Installed Board Of Trustees, Partons And Ambassadors

The Ichida Progress Union, Onitsha branch, Anambra State has installed Board of Trustees, Partons and Ambassadors as partners in piloting the affairs of the Union, Onitsha, Anambra State.       

The ceremony marking the official installation held at the Union proposed event centre, Nkwelle Ezunaka attracted dignitaries within and beyond the community.

According to the community, lchida Progress Union was initiated to foster brotherhood and advance the progress in the area       

In his opening remark, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Nnaemeka Egbuna said the vision of the founding fathers in establishing the Union has materialized into fruition, appreciating those whose efforts have contributed in uplifting the community. 

He said the recognition and investiture of award to deserving members was meant to spur them in moving lchida to an enviable height. 

Presenting an address of welcome the coordinator and Vice Chairman of union, Ambassador Evergreen Ezenwa said the installation was strategized at sustaining and fostering developmental strides in the branch.    

Ambassador Ezenwa called for sacrifice among the members, describing such as panacea to meaningful development, saying that even though the old Ichida Town Hall located at the Fegge area of Onitsha is still serving other social purposes, the new event centre which will be located at Nkwelle-Ezunaka, a neighbouring community is excepted to be of modern architecture with full-scale modern facilities when completed.

One of the major donors who were also installed as Trustees, Chief Chukwuma Okolo and Managing Director, Pachuks Engineering thanked members of Ichida Progress Union for honouring him and promised to contribute his quota towards the completion of the project.

Chief Sir. Amamchukwu Okafor was installed as patron, said that the dream to invest in Nkwelle-Ezunaka Community which is fast attracting physical development was a welcomed development, stressing that the community (Ichida) must take the advantage of the procured plots of land to invest in the area.
