The Ikwumazom family of Umute, in Aniocha south local government area of Delta state, has felicitated with the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, on his successful inauguration for a second term in office.
The family, in a statement signed by Honourable Victor Okwuokei, Barrister Andy Umezi and Comrade Olisekwu Osamor, said the victory and successful inauguration of Governor Okowa were ordained by God, adding that the Governor had found favour in God through the giant strides of his administration in the past four years.
The Ikwumazom family noted that the success of the Okowa administration went beyond the urban towns and cities, as the rural communities, including the Nsukwa clan also benefitted from infrastructural development.
It cited the Nsukwa-Ejeme-Ndemili road reconstructed by the Okowa administration which had opened up the benefitting communities for accelerated development, stressing that the people of the area have been given a sense of belonging.
The Ikwumazom family said its members, the Umute community and indeed the entire Nsukwa clan had also benefitted from the policies and programmes of the Okowa administration, describing the Governor as a leader par excellence.
It urged the Governor to consider the reconstruction of the Nsukwa-Umute road to facilitate the evacuation of farm produce from the agrarian community to the outside world.
The family prayed God to grant the Governor the wisdom, strength and capacity to drive his second term towards achieving a stronger Delta.
