A member of the Board of the State Post Primary Education Board and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Henry Ofa, has said the inauguration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term is a seal  for equity in the state.

Dr Ofa, ìn an interview with newsmen during the inauguration ceremony, said the understanding between the three senatorial districts of the state as it concerned power rotation had become a narrative for a strong political structure.

The PDP stalwart noted that though it was the turn of Delta north to complete their eight years in the governorship seat, Okowa’s integrity and unequalled ability to deliver the 2015 campaign promises were added advantage to his reelection in 2019.

He said having performed beyond expectation in the area of infrastructural development, wealth and job creation, urban renewal, healthcare, education and peace building, the Governor was set to consolidate his achievements with the breaking of new grounds.

Dr Ofa stated that the Governor was abreast of the areas that would need more attention in his second term from the report of the State Transition Committee and would work to improve on his performance in the first tenure.

He paid tribute to former Governor James Ibori for putting in place a dynasty that had remained relevant in the political equation of the state, adding that the PDP national leader laid the foundation for the peace and unity presently being enjoyed in the state.
