Dr Henry Ofa, second member of the Board of the State Post Primary Education Board, PPEB, has called on Deltans to increase their support for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as he begins his second tenure tomorrow.
Ofa, who was speaking to newsmen in Asaba, said Governor Okowa’s first tenure was impactful in all sectors, even in the face of dwindling resources, stressing that the Governor was set to achieve greater feats in his second tenure.
He noted that while 28 states in the country could not recruit teachers for their schools, Governor Okowa approved the recruitment of teachers in critical subject areas because of his love for education and his desire to see children in the state realize their potentials.
The PDP chieftain said the Okowa administration did a lot in the health sector where he provided quality medicare to many, while over 300 roads were constructed in different parts of the state in the past four years.
Dr Ofa said the numerous giant strides of Governor Okowa prompted him to do a compilation of the Amazing Accomplishments of the Governor to help propagate his good work.
He prayed God for a successful inauguration and urged Deltans and other residents of the state to turn out enmass to add value and colour to the event.
