The Senator-elect of the Delta north senatorial district, Prince Ned Nwoko, has called on the people of the district to come out in their large numbers to celebrate the inauguration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro for a second term in office.

Nwoko, who was speaking on the import of the inauguration, said Delta north is the major beneficiary because it has been given the opportunity to take a second slot as was the case with Delta central and Delta south.

He said Okowa deserved to be celebrated for giving the state quality leadership which made it possible for Deltans to unanimously support his reelection, the weak opposition notwithstanding.

The former member of the House of Representatives noted that Governor Okowa started his administration four years ago on a sound footing, with a well thought out blue print that positively impacted all sectors of the state’s economy and gave Deltans value for their votes.

He said having finished well in his first term in office, Senator Okowa could only but do better in his second term to justify the confidence reposed in him by the people.

The Senator-elect appealed to Deltans to continue to support the Okowa administration to ensure the realization of set goals that would guarantee a strong Delta state.
