There was palpable tension at Ovwor-Olomu, in Ughelli south local government area of Delta state when former Nigeria’s Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, slummed mid way into the funeral oration at the grave side of late Major-General David Ejoor.
The former Head of State was promptly rushed by some top echelons of the military into the special tent for emergency resuscitation, just as Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state and former Governor James Ibori, dashed into the tent to monitor his condition.
A military and the Delta State ambulances were immediately moved to the front of the tent in case the former Head of State needed further medical attention
After a moment of suspense, Chief James Ibori and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa were seen coming from the special tent, an indication that the former Army General was in a stable condition.
