Deltans have been commended for their unwavering trust and confidence in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

A member of the Board of the State Post Primary Education Board, PPEB, Dr Henry Ofa, gave the commendation while speaking on the import of his compilation of the amazing accomplishments of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

Dr Ofa noted that the support and solidarity of Deltans inadvertently ensured the victory of the PDP in the 2019 elections, adding that their choice of Governor Okowa would make the state stronger in the next four years.

He said the second edition of the compilation of the accompilations of Governor Okowa, which began in May 2018, helped to provide the useful information that guided the people in making the right decision during the election, explaining that the compilation clearly highlighted the promises  fulfilled by the Governor from 2015 till date.

Dr Ofa particularly noted that Governor Okowa kept to his promise to turn around the socio-economic fortunes of the state through the meticulous implementation of his SMART agenda, citing Strategic Wealth and Job Creation, Meaningful Peace Building targeted at Political and Social Harmony, Agricultural Reforms and Accelerated Industrialization, Relevant Health and Educational Policies and Transformed Environment through Urban Renewal.

The PPEB second member said the close to four years of the Okowa administration had witnessed the execution of people oriented projects and the approval of far reaching administrative, legislative and legal reforms that had transformed the state and positively impacted on the lives of the people.

He stated that Governor Okowa had turned the state, particularly the capital Asaba, into a construction site, with focus on road development and massive storm control in order to make life more meaningful to the people, even as he had ensured that no ward in the state was shortchanged in the quest to build a stronger Delta.

Dr Ofa solicited increased support for the Governor in the next four years to enable him do more.
