The producer of the work “Senator Ifeanyi Okowa : The Man, His Achievements,” Dr Henry Ofa, has said he embarked on the compilation in DVD and print in order to have something to show to future generations of Deltans.
Dr Ofa, in an exclusive interview with gallantreporyers, said the accomplishments of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa were too numerous and remarkable to be glossed over, stressing that they needed to be seen at a glance to be able to truly appreciate the great work of the Okowa.
He said the presence of the Okowa administration could be felt in every nook and cranny of the state, as the Governor had kept his 2015 electioneering campaign promise to turn around the socio-economic fortunes of Delta state through his long term development programme aptly captured in the SMART Agenda.
Dr Ofa noted that with people-oriented policies and programmes that had seen to the transformation of the public and private sectors of the state, especially the construction and rehabilitation of roads, education reforms, repositioning of the health sector, job creation and youth engagement, empowerment of women and sustainable peace building over the past three and half years, it was necessary for him to show to the world how the Governor had diligently kept faith in Deltans.
The second member, Board of the State Post Primary Education Board, paid tribute to former Governor James Ibori whose heroic and strategic vision many years ago set Delta state on the path of true prosperity anchored on equity and fairness to all.
He assured that Deltans were in for greater transformation than they experienced in the first tenure of Governor Okowa and urged them to maintain the spirit of love and understanding of one another to be able to sustain the peace that had made development possible in all parts of the state.
