Widows have been asked to leverage on God’s love for them by looking up to Him as their bread winner.
The founder of the Divine Faith Evangelical Mission, Agbor, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, made the call when he hosted widows in Ekwueze quarters, Abavo, during his ministry’s widows outreach programme.
Prophet Igbodo said in their widowhood, God is there for them and their children, stressing that they should be prayerful and strong in faith to be able to overcome the challenges of their situation.
The clergyman noted that the short life span of Nigerian men had scaled up the number of widows in the society and advised the men to worry less about the things of the world.
He explained that the outreach programme was designed to encourage and support the widows to live meaningfully and take care of their children to ensure better living standard for them.
Prophet Igbodo said God provided the items presented to the widows as a point of contact and urged them to remember him in their prayers so that God would continue to use the outreach to touch lives.
While not ruling out the possibility of having witches among the widows, the cleric advised those in the devilish craft to quit and turn to God.
He thanked all those who had rendered unsolicited assistance to the widow’s outreach and the Job’s Orphanage and called on others who might be moved by the Spirit of charity to send their donations through the Job Orphanage Zenith Bank Account number 1010739890.
Items presented to the widows at the outreach programme included rice, indomie noddles, yoghurt drinks, biscuits, toiletries and clothes.
