NIMC DELTA STATE SET TO ENROL CHILDREN UNDER 16 FOR THE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

Delta State Coordinator of the National identity Management Commission, Barrister Henrietta Okolo, has called on parents and guardians to seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to enroll their children and wards for the National Identification Number (NIN)

Barrister Okolo said the call has  become imperative in view of the government’s bid to identify every eligible Nigerian and legal residents.

She listed registration requirements for children aged 0 to 15 as either the Child’s Birth Certificate, School ID, LGA Certificate of origin, or NHIS card.

Barrister Okolo said any of the means of identification listed above with either of the Parent’s NIN  could be used for identification of the child for registration.

The state NIMC coordinator added that one of the parents or guardians must accompany the child to the registration center.

She said NIMC has registration centers in all the 25 local government areas of the state and other special centers in UBA ASABA & ABRAKA, ZENITH  BANK AGBOR, OSUBI Airport and the NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE IBUSA.
  
According to the coordinator enrollment opens from 8am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays and is free.
