Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International may not ring a bell in the roll call of churches, but it is undoubtedly a place of worship where God is at work.

Located at No.108 Charles street Agbor, in Ika south local government area of Delta state, the ministry was founded in 1996 by Ivue Uromi Edo state born Prophet Joseph Igbodo.

The charismatic preacher, in an exclusive interview with gallantreporters in Agbor, disclosed that he has not lost any member of the church to death in the past twenty years.

Prophet Igbodo said the church has never solicited assistance from any individual or organisation, nor has it embarked on fund raising since inception, but had constantly received donations from spiritually directed persons and organisations from within and outside the state.

He stated that such donations, which included cash and food items, were usually channeled to the work of God, especially helping indigent members of the church, reaching out to widows in their large numbers across communities in the state and beyond, as well as caring for inmates of JOB’S ORPHANAGE being run by the church.

The cleric maintained that most people who had identified with the church or orphanage often came back with testimonies of God’s blessings upon them and their families.

Prophet Igbodo, who said widows in the church were on monthly stipends and their rent and children’s school fees paid by the church, disclosed that individualized thanksgiving was not tenable in the church because it was unspiritual and often put some persons who desired to appreciate God under pressure to compete with others.

The clergyman said his ministry believed strongly in the efficacy of the anointing oil and had used it to break grounds to the glory of God even in very helpless and hopeless situations.

He pointed out that although pastors, reverends and other title holders in the christiandom who claimed to be called abound every where, only few were chosen.
