GOV OKOWA PROCEEDS ON VACATION

Delta state Governor ,Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has proceeded on his twenty one days annual  leave with effect from Wednesday April 3, 2019.

The Governor, in a letter transmitted to the House and read by the Speaker, Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, said the twenty one days was part or his 2019 annual leave, pointing out that the other part of his annual vacation would be taken later in the year.

Governor Okowa said while away his Deputy, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro,  would perform the duties of his office as governor in line with Section 190 sub section 190 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

Senator Okowa said he would resume duty as Governor on April 24, 2019.

The Majority Leader, Honourable Tim Owhefere, moved a motion for the House to receive and accept the  governor’s notice,

The motion was seconded by Honourable Festus Okoh and unanimously adopted .
