2019 BATCH A CORPS MEMBERS DEPLOYED TO DELTA STATE CHARGED TO TAKE THEIR ORIENTATION COURSE SERIOUSLY

Corps members deployed to Delta state have been asked to avail themselves of the unique opportunity and participate actively  in the orientation course that will prepare them for the future.

The state Acting Governor, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, gave the charge at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2019 Batch A corps members deployed to the state at the Permanent Orientation Camp Issele Uku, in Aniocha north local government area of the state.

Barrister Otuaro,  who was represented by the state commissioner for Higher Education, Engineer Jude Sinebe, commended the NYSC for its skill acquisition programme and advised the corps members to take advantage of the programme to acquire skills that would make them employers of labour.

He admonished the corps members to carry out their assignments diligently and assured them that the state government would provide adequate security for them during their service year.

In his address, the State Chairman, NYSC Governing Board and Secretary to the State Government, Honourable Festus Agas; represented by the Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Cabinet and Administration,  Mr. Charles Akpatiakuchukwu, said the state government would continue to ensure robust and purposeful policies that would make the services of corps members beneficial to the people of the state.

The SSG advised the corps members to be committed to rendering patriotic and rewarding service to the state and the nation

The State Cordinator of the NYSC , Mr. Omotade Ayodele commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for renovating  the Orientation camp.

The State Chief Judge, Justice Marshal Umukoro, represented by Justice Celestina Ogisi, administered the oath of allegiance on the corps members.

A total of 2,353 prospective corps members had been registered at the time of the swearing-in.
