TRIBUNAL RETURNS ADEMOLA ADELEKE OF THE PDP AS WINNER OF OSUN 2018 GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Osun state governorship election petition tribal sitting in Abuja has declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, winner of the 2018 governorship election.

The Tribuna held that APC’s candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, who was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was not validly elected.

It also ruled that the Certificate of Return issued to Gboyega Oyetola be withdrawn and a fresh one issued to Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP having fulfilled the requirements of the law.
