EFE TOBOR COMMENDS OPPOSITION POLITICAL PARTIES IN DELTA FOR ADDING VALUE TO THE ELECTORAL PROCESS

The Senior Special Assistant to Delta state Governor on Inter-Party Relations, Honourable Efe Tobor, has commended opposition political parties in the state for their maturity in opposition politics.

Honourable Efe Tobor, who was speaking shortly after the press conference called by the state chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in Asaba to bare its mind on the outcome of the March 9 governorship election in the state, noted that the political parties under the aegis of IPAC participated actively in every bit of the electoral process, which contributed immensely to the conduct of free, fair and credible elections in Delta state.

The SSA said the verdict of IPAC on the governorship election was heart warming, adding that the decision of the governorship candidate of the PPA, Dr. Odiakpor Obire, to congratulate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his electoral victory was a rare demonstration of sportsmanship, as politics should not be a do or die affair.

Honourable Efe Tobor advised IPAC to continue to co-ordinate the activities of the political parties with the sense of responsibility in order to properly position them for their role in the polity.

He assured the political parties of improved relations with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Party Relations for the greater good of the polity.
