Members of PDP ward eleven, in Oshimili south local government area of Delta state, have been given a pat on the back for being a part of the success story of the March 9 governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.
The Director representing Delta north on the Board of the Direct Labour Agency, DLA, Engineer Smart Meka, treated the ward eleven members to a get together for contributing significantly to the victory of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in the election.
Engineer Meka noted that, with an impressive showing in the February 23 and March 9 elections, the ward had become an asset to the PDP in Oshimili south and the state as a whole.
He particularly acknowledged the contributions of some members of the ward, including Okey Ijomah, Emordi Ogwu, Eugene Odiachi, Emeka Chukwuji, Sylvester Olise and Afam Uzor to the growth of the party and urged them not to relent.
The PDP ward leader called on all party faithful in the ward to continue to support and work with party leaders to move the ward to greater heights.
Engineer Meka reminded them that the end of one election marked the beginning of preparation for another and urged them to sustain the winning record of PDP in the ward.
He assured the Governor of continued support in his second term in office.
The ward chairman, Mr. Okey Ijomah, thanked Engineer Meka for his moral and material support for the ward and commended members of the ward for delivering the Governor and other PDP candidates for the elections.
