FRIENDLY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT POLICIES HELPED OKOWA’S RE-ELECTION – Comrade Uwabuofu

Youth friendly policies and programmes  of the Okowa administration have been identified as key factors that contributed to the Governor’s overwhelming victory in the March 9 gubernatorial election

The Presiden – General of the Ukwuani Community Youth Leaders Association,  Comrade Chika Uwabuofu, stated this in a congratulatory message to the Governor.

Comrade Uwabuofu said Ukwuani youths were unanimous in their resolve to deliver Governor Okowa in appreciation for the opportunities his administration created for youths in the state to realize their potentials through job creation and other forms of empowerment.

He said, unlike in the past when youths allowed themselves to be used to perpetrate electoral violence, they opted for the charge of the Governor on them to protect their votes following the threats by the APC to hijack the governorship election.

Comrade Uwabuofu noted that the Governor’s charge paid off as the youths were on ground to prevent the disruption of the election.

While thanking God for freeing him from the hands of abductors suspected to be political thugs of the opposition party on February 17, the Ukwuani youth leader urged Governor Okowa to expand his youth development programmes in his second term in office.

Comrade Uwabuofu, who is also the President – General of the Obiarukwu Community Youth Association, assured the Governor of increased support of the youths in the next four years of his administration to enable him to finish strong.
