The Deputy chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, South South zone, Brother Emma Ogidi, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and other candidates of the party who emerged victorious at the polls, describing it as well deserved.

Brother Ogidi, a former State Chairman of the PDP, who was speaking with journalists in Asaba, appreciated party faithful and Deltans for working for the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The South South PDP Deputy Chairman said the victory did not come to him as a surprise because Governor Okowa had executed developmental projects in all the local government areas of the state particularly in rural and riverine communities.

Brother Ogidi charged Deltans to remain supportive of the Okowa administration in the next four years and gave an assurance that the state would witness greater transformation in terms of infrastructural development and economic empowerment.

He described Governor Okowa as an experienced politician and a prudent manager of men and resources which explained how he was able to pilot the affairs of the state during the economic crisis occasioned by the activities of agitators.

While congratulating other candidates of the party in the South South geopolitical zone who emerged victorious at the elections, Brother Ogidi said their victories were hinged on outstanding performance and partnership with the people.

He described as unfortunate the events which led to the declaration of the gubernatorial election in Rivers State as inconclusive, but thanked God for taking control of the situation
