DELTA SSG AND THE LOSS OF HIS WARD

Delta state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, on the 4th of March 2019, addressed his aides in a closed door meeting where he charged them to relocate to their wards to ensure victory for the PDP or risk the loss of their jobs.

The elections have come and gone and it is now clear that some political appointees of the Governor may well be on their way out of government for failing the Governor’s test.

One of those affected by the development is the Secretary to the Delta State Government, SSG, Honourable Festus Agas, who lost his ward in Oteri, Ughelli north local government area, to APC in the March 9 governorship election.

Before the election, gallantreporters did a review of the SSG’s political activities and expressed fears of the possibility of his losing his ward because he was never seen to be working to promote the giant strides of his principal in his local government area with a view to weakening the opposition in that part of the state.

That prediction has come to pass and the SSG is obviously not in the best of mood to celebrate his principal’s victory as he has neither organized any victory party nor has he been sighted in any of the parties thrown by those who felt like celebrating, including his predecessor, Comrade Ovouzuorie Macaulay.

What becomes the fate of the SSG for failing to add value to the re-election of his principal, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa?
