Political appointees in Ethiope east local government area of Delta state have failed the test of their principal, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as they have failed to deliver the Governor in the March 9, gubernatorial election.
Great Ogboru’s APC polled 21,141 votes to force Senator Okowa’s PDP to the second position with 11,489 votes.
The Governor, in a meeting with his appointees on Monday, March 4 2019, directed them to immediately relocate to their wards and ensure victory for PDP or risk losing their positions.
The PDP has, however, won in ten out of the eleven local government areas from where results have been announced by INEC.
The local government areas are Ukwuani, Ethiope west, Okpe, Ika south, Ika north east, Oshimili south, Aniocha north, Aniocha south, Patani and Isoko south.
