The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended the good people of Isoko Nation for standing resolutely with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the party despite threats from the desperate members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
Among the myriads of anxious moments unleashed on the people of Isoko Nation, and in particular on the PDP leaders, faithful, and supporters by the marauding APC leaders and their lackeys, against the forlorn hope to impress their national leaders that they and their party exist in Isoko land, was the call for the arrest and prosecution of Chief Iduh Amadhe, President General of the Isoko Development Union (IDU) for alleged incitement of ethnic genocide.
To tell of how desperate masked one behind the so-called APC statement is, the writer did not have the courage to put his name on that statement. Then we ask? How logical is it for a President General of a people to call for the killing of his people on account of support for or not for political parties? This is where we call the faceless APC write-up a ruse and urge the people of Isoko land to discountenance the statement and remain focused in their political stand with the PDP and Governor Okowa.
We are not surprised by the concocted statement which tried to address in borrowed robes the serial contestant Chief Great Ogboru, whose governorship candidature is very much suspect and in dispute in the court. Of course, the people of Isoko land know their onions and so can see beyond the rhetorics and lies being peddled about, to trying to whitewash Ogboru and paint him as decent.
The people of Isoko land know that Chief Iduh Amadhe is their leader and an uncommon Isoko and Nigerian patriot and enjoys the support of the people who also holds him in very high regard.
Thank you, the people of Isoko land for loving your President General, and we of the PDP appreciate you for the understanding that not even the antics of political enemies can separate you from Chief Iduh Amadhe, whose tenure has brought great developmental strides to the Isoko Nation.
We urge you to continue to be steadfast in your support for the PDP and your resolve to vote en masse for Governor Okowa’s second term and all the PDP candidates on March 9, 2019.
Long live Isoko Nation!
Long live Delta State PDP!!
Long live Delta State!!!
