TUOMO MONARCH DECLARES SUPPORT FOR GOV OKOWA

The Ebenanaowei of Tuomo kingdom, Pere Esuku the first, Justice Francis Tabai, has declared the support of his people for the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The traditional ruler stated this when he led Chiefs and prominent sons of the kingdom on a thank you visit to the Governor in Asaba.

Justice Tabai thanked Governor Okowa for his installation as the traditional ruler of Tuomo kingdom after sixty-seven years of interregnum and promised to remain supportive of the policies and programmes of government.

Also the spokesperson of the kingdom and one time commissioner in the state, Professor Bello Orubebe thanked the Governor for the ongoing Bomadi-Tuomo-Ojobo road project.

He noted that on completion the road would boost trade and commerce in the area and strengthen ties with neighbouring communities, pointing out that the people would stand behind the Governor in the forth coming gubernatorial election.

Responding, Governor Okowa thanked them for their support and promised to expedite action on the completion of the road.

He assured them of government’s desire to develop more rural communities across the state.

While congratulating the monarch for the peace in the Tuomo kingdom and for the partnership with his administration, Governor Okowa sued for more support and cooperation from the people with a view to making the state the pride of the nation.
