A three-day School Sports Festival begins in Asaba, the Delta state capital on Tuesday, February 5, 2019
According to the Delta state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, over 1,000 student athletes will be competing in various sporting events during the sports meet.
Mr. Ebie says the event is in furtherance of the state government’s effort at repositioning and developing school sports and the need to discover talents at an early stage.
The finals will take place on Thursday February 7, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium at 10am.
